Cody Hunts

Deer, Antelope, Big Horn Sheep, Late Season Elk, Mountain Goat, Cow Elk, Spring Black Bear

Hunt the famous late season Wyoming mule deer migration routes for trophy mule deer between Cody and Yellowstone.  Our large hunt area encompasses over 850 square miles covering both the North and South Fork drainages of the Shoshone River.  We put you up in Cody where your day will start early with a large breakfast.  Then you, your guide and our experienced mountain horses will drive to the trailhead before dawn.  After a full day of hunting, you will arrive back at the trailhead after dark.  Then it's back to town for a hot shower, a great evening meal, and the time to share hunting stories with your fellow hunters.

"Thanks for organizing a good hunting experience.  I really enjoyed myself and getting a nice buck on the last day was a bonus."

Vernon Orange, Alaska

"All my life I had been waiting for a hunt like this.  Having been to Africa twice before to hunt, I thought I had seen it all.  However, my stay with E.K. Bostick and his group was phenomenal.  Those are some of the nicest people I've ever met and they treat you like royalty."

Max Elliott, Texas

Our hunt area is renowned not only for trophy mule deer, but also for trophy late season elk, big horn sheep and Rocky Mountain goats.  We pull in some dandy antelope, too.

Antelope hunts are  by truck and 4x4's, rather than on horseback.  Hunters provide their own meals and lodging. Late season elk hunts in areas 55, 56 and 58 are available for the serious trophy hunter.  Cow elk, spring black bear and spike camp hunts for big horn sheep and mountain goat are also available.

Once again our popular Cody deer hunts are booking up very fast (in fact, 2008 is already full!).  These hunts are 5 full days of guided horseback hunting and Antelope can be included with the hunt at no additional charge.  The average bucks taken  for the last six years are 26+ inches wide and 160+ SCI with some taken up to 36 inches and 210+ SCI.  The October snows cause the deer migrate from the high country into the area west of Cody to winter and do their breeding.  With the snow and the rut working together it is not uncommon to see 150+ deer/day/hunter.

Our 3-day guided horseback Cow Elk Hunts are conducted November through early December much the same as our Late Season Bull Elk Hunts. The reduced price on these hunts are designed to accomodate families and those hunters desiring to put some great meat in the freezer.  Cow Elk Hunts are the perfect way to introduce a young hunter to horseback elk hunting as our opportunity and success rates are extremely high.

We also offer 7-day guided horseback Late Season Bull Elk Hunts in Areas 55, 56, 58, 59 and 121.  These high success hunts are for the large bulls that migrate out of Yellowstone Park and the Thorofare into the area west of Cody each fall and are conducted November through early December.  Because there are very few nonresident licenses available for these areas many hunters desiring a chance to take a true trophy bull in these areas will acquire a Wyoming Commissioner's License.

Give us a call to book your hunt or to answer any questions regarding any of our hunts.
